A certification from the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) is mandated by Oklahoma Statute at Title 43A for the following types of programs prior to provision of treatment services:
- Alcohol and Drug Treatment
- Community Mental Health Centers
- Gambling Treatment
- Eating Disorder Treatment
- Community-Based Structured Crisis Centers
- Programs of Assertive Community Treatment
- Comprehensive Community Addiction Recovery Centers
- Opioid Substitution Treatment
Title 43A also mandates that Community Residential Mental Health providers be certified by ODMHSAS if they contract with the ODMHSAS.
Outpatient Mental Health providers have the option of being certified by the ODMHSAS or obtaining national accreditation for purposes of SoonerCare/ODMHSAS reimbursement.
